(the keyboardist wrote this as if he were still 12...) I discovered I liked playing with my organ at around age 12. Big organs really fascinated me. I really like watching others play their big organs. After discovering the master of organ players, Rick Wakeman, I was hooked on progressive music. I was also into the organ playing of Tony Banks. It was amazing to me what they could do with their organs. As a teen, I was into seeing Jon Lord beat his organ into submission. I was in and out of several bands during college. After college, I dropped out of the music scene for about 9 years. After answering an ad for a prog organ player, I joined what was to become Forever Twelve. I used to play a really big organ (Hammond) but with age my organ has shrunk (Roland VK7). It's not the size that matters, but what you can do with it. |
