I've been singing as long as I can remember, even making up songs on my
walk to and from elementary school. Around the house, we grew up listening
to show tunes and Simon & Garfunkel. My favorite singers include Kate
Bush, the Indigo Girls, Tori Amos, Melissa Etheridge, ani difranco, and Sting.
I also adore most celtic and middle eastern music. Forever Twelve was my first
real exposure to current progressive rockmy favorite prog singers are
Geraldine Le Cocq from Halloween (on Musea) and Sharon den Adel (from
Within Temptation). I've always felt strongest singing, but this has been an
excellent opportunity to keep up playing flute, piano, and percussion. I studied
mallets (marimba, xylophone, etc.) at UC Santa Barbara, toured with the Velvet Knights
drum and bugle corps in 1986, and with the Continental Singers in 1990. I sang
with two medieval a capella groups in Santa Barbara, and performed in several
stage musicals over the years. And I definitely enjoy stretching my artistic
skills, designing the website and our promotional materials.
